In the book "My Freshman Year", Rebekah Nathan writes about her experience of going back to college and how it has evolved from when she attended as a student. Now that she has gotten used to being a student in a new time, she had evolves from her normal ways to her ways that have been adapted from the other students. Rebekah talks about how the students do not act the way when she was in college. She would spend her time studying for up coming exams and not go out and wasting her time partying. She remembers having friends in her dorms and going out and having fun. But her fun and the fun for the students today are completely different. Another big topic in the second section of this book is about Sororities and Fraternities and how they have a big impact on the college camps and college life. Rebekah talks about the parties that they throw and that they very disruptive to the students who are trying to get work done. And the hazing that she has witnessed. Rebekah is wondering why no one is reporting this? So she goes to the office and tells them what the Sororities and Fraternities, mostly the Fraternities, have been doing to these pledges. That this should be stopped at once. They end up closing the Fraternity but this is not the end, its never the end. Rebekah realized that she can't keep going to the office and keep on reporting the hazing that she has seen. Now she knows why the students don't report this activity because there is no point. Either there is no proof or they just don't do anything about it.
